Axpo
For Axpo, Switzerland's largest energy company, we have played a pivotal role in their effort to automate and digitize their internal and B2B tools, ranging from ideation to prototyping, implementation, and refinement of exciting new solutions.
The Challenges
Throughout several different business areas within Axpo, the challenges have been similar: stay competitive in the energy market by digitizing manual processess and providing customers and internal stakeholders with the tools they need to make informed decisions. This has required a deep understanding of the energy market, the ability to translate complex data into user-friendly interfaces, and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the tools are effective and user-friendly.
The Goals
The goal has been to create a suite of digital tools that are user-friendly, visually engaging, and conducive to the user's workflow. The tools should provide users with the information they need to make informed decisions, while also providing them with the flexibility to view the data in a way that is most useful to them. The tools should be scalable and flexible, as the energy market is constantly changing and the tools need to be able to adapt to new market conditions and user needs.
Solutions

Trading Tools
We designed and prototyped a suite of complex, data-heavy tools for spot traders to use in their daily work.
Project Proposal Manager
We participated in product discovery and created detailed designs and Figma prototypes for this complex proposal management tool.
Customer Portal
We designed a wide range of applications for the B2B and internal functionality of the customer portal, as well as the design system.
Pricing Tool
We helped energy sales personnel with concepts, designs, prototypes and project management for an innovative smart pricing tool.
Marketing Videos
We produced dozens of videos for educational and marketing purposes throughout the organiziation.
High Fidelity Prototypes
One of our key contributions has been the creation of high-fidelity coded prototypes for a wide range of tools and applications.
Data Visualization
Many of the tools we have worked on have required complex data visualization, especially for the trading and sales teams.
Documentation, Process and Design System
We have helped the team document and refine their design process and create a design system to ensure consistency and efficiency.
